Abstract

|
Over recent times, our elderly population has increased rapidly, As a result, various geriatric diseases have also grown. The elderly population, with reduced musculoskeletal function may have joint disease such as osteoarthritis and arthritis, such as late onset rheumatoid arthritis, or elderly onset gout, which has newly occurred in the elderly population. As well, due to a decrease in renal function, delayed excretion of drugs may occur, and due to other disease, elderly patients may be taking other drugs, so we need use caution when prescribing medication for them. So in this article, I want to provide, in detail, the medical treatment of various arthritis diseases which can occur in elderly patients.
